VINTAGE SIGNED VILLASANA MEXICAN SILVER TAXCO CUFF CLAMPER BRACELET An outstanding vintage STERLING SILVER spring loaded CLAMPER STYLE CUFF BRACELET DESIGNED BY MEXICAN ARTIST ALFREDO VILLASANA. Villasana worked for both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar during the golden age of Taxco silver jewelry production. Villasana was highly skilled at repousse work as this bracelet attest to with its' striking open scroll work design. The bracelet is signed Villasana, sterling, 925, Hecho en Mexico, and has the delineated Eagle mark for ca 1948-55. Signed Taxco jewelry pieces are treasured both for their original designs as well as the outstanding craftsmanship and have steadily increased in value over the years.

VINTAGE MEXICAN STERLING TAXCO SIGNED MARICELA LEAF PIN BROOCH This lovely STERLING SILVER BROOCH PIN is an EARLY EXAMPLE OF the work of TAXCO ARTIST, YSIDRO GARCIA PINA (workshop name MARICELA 1943-86) dating from ca 1950. Skillfully crafted, and beautifully designed, this pin is clearly signed with full hallmarks: (workshop name) Maricela Tasco, Sterling and 925,delineated Eagle mark and Heche en Mexico.

Morrill and Berk's book, MEXICAN SILVER devotes a chapter to the works of this skilled artist. He is also documented in Hougart’s MEXICAN TRADE AND HALLMARKS. Signed Taxco jewelry pieces are treasured both for their original designs as well as the outstanding craftsmanship and have steadily increased in value over the years.

RARE EARLY GERMAN WMF SILVERPLATE TEA STRAINER This is a unique early German Secessionist Movement silver plated tea strainer by the famous WMF factory. These early WMF pieces are uncommon and highly sought after.This strainer has a swing style tea basket suspended over a spouted bowl with a straight Ebony wood handle; bears the early Ostrich WMF hallmark of the German factory Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik that supplied haute fashion conscious households of 1900 with a vast range of Art Nouveau (Jugendstil),Classical and Art Deco silver plate and metal ware items. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ENGLISH SILVERPLATE EGG CODDLER This is a fine anitque Victorian English silverplated egg coddler or boiler made by Roberts & Belk ca. 1880-90's (Samuel Roberts & Charles Belk). The lid is decorated with an acorn finial above plain reeding or ribs intersected by bright cut foliate ribs. The base is suspended by four wire form supports, each with spoon hook and ending in ball form feet over a Greek Cross base. The base bears the mark of Roberts & Belk. Condition: in very good condition with no loss to plate, 2 very small dents to bottom of boiler; missing its interior holder, spoons and spirit lamp.

VINTAGE SILVERPLATE FOOTED CENTERPIECE BOWL WITH FLOWER FROG This very decorative silverplate centerpiece bowl (possibly by Leonard, but unmarked)is made in the form of a lotus flower supported by three S-scroll legs highlighted by pinecones and ending in flaring candle nozzels. The center of the bowl is fitted with a removeable hanging flower frog. In extemely good condition, with no dents, two small dark spots on outside of bowl; this metal does polish like silverplate.

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN REPOUSSE STERLING PENKNIFE Originally designed for sharpening quills, this ornate sterling silver Victorian penknife is decorated with repousse scrolling foliage surrounding a central shaped cartouche. The knife has four steel blades of various lengths. Blades are marked Germany, case is marked sterling. In excellent condition with only minor discoloration to steel blades, script monogram to cartouche on one side only.
