VINTAGE WOOD BOITE NATURE MAHAGONY CIGAR BOX ca. 1940 This is a fine vintage full BN (Boite Nature)cigar box dating from ca 1942. Made of Mahogany, with lockwork corners and machine stapled type V hardware, it retains its original interior collar. This box features an unusual double Serpentine front with stepped lid, it rests on four rectangular feet. The base bears the printed Tax Class & Caution Notice. CONDITION:unidentified maker; box is in great near mint condition, wood is sound, only very minor age/use bumps & nicks to wood, all hardware is original

NOTE: would make an attractive storage box for TV remote controls, etc.

ZIPPO GRUMMAN AIRCRAFT KOREAN WAR ERA LIGHTER ca 1953 This is an un-used, mint in the box, 1953 Zippo lighter with a line-drawn engraving of the Grumman F9F-5 Panther,a carrier fighter jet used during the Korean War. The bottom has the Patent 2517191 with patent pending stamp for the years 1949 - 57. This is guaranteed to be original and not a reproduction.

The Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation was founded in 1929 by Leroy R. Grumman. Its first products were float planes sold to the Navy until W.W.II, when the company produced Wildcats, Hellcats, and Avengers. The Korean war saw Grumman's entry into the jet age with the F9F Panther. The Vietnam War saw the A-6 Intruder, the world's only All Weather Attack Bomber used by Navy and Marine Corps squadrons.
