ANTIQUE PIONEER ERA HAGELBERG GERMAN POP-UP CHRISTMAS CARD This is an antique Victorian Wolff Hagelberg Pop-up Christmas card that is dated in pencil Dec. 25, 1890 on the back. The card features a diecut bouquet of blue flowers that when flipped becomes a bouquet of magnolia blossoms. The card is marked in LR corner W. Hagelberg, Berlin and is also marked with the WH logo on the reverse. The card is in good condition with some ageing to paper; pop-up flowers in good condition with one leaf tip folded and one leaf tip missing from Magnolia bouquet

Wolff Hagelberg (Berlin) was one of Europe’s leading Fine Art Publishers, from 1860-1890s with the majority of the verses written by E. E. Griffin or M. S. Haycraft.

VINTAGE GOLDEN AGE WHITNEY CHRISTMAS EVE POST CARD This vintage Whitney Christmas Eve greeting postcard dating from the divided back era, features a great graphic of two young children in bed while one watches Santa through the window. The card was made by Whitney and is postmarked 1922; in very good condition, no fading of colors, one edge bent with upper layer of card torn away; reverse does have address (which has been marked through in pencil) and a short greeting from sender; post dated 1922

WWII 1945 ARMY AIR CORP SOLIDER LETTER HOME DEATH OF HITLER This is a first person, eye witness account of WWII in the form of a letter written by a solider in the Army Air Corp to his mother and dated May 2, 1945. The letter mentions that the radio had just announced the death of Adolf Hitler. Letter in very good readable condition with original envelope, envelope with some yellowing, opened at one end some loss to return address. A nice piece of vintage WW II memorabilia.

US WW II RECOGNITION PICTORIAL MANUAL SKYTRAIN GLIDER TUG This is a single page from a US WW II Recognition Pictorial Restricted Manual dated 1943 and published by the US War Department (FM 30-30) & the US NAVY Department (BAUER 3). These manuals were part of the Aircraft Recognition System and provided scale drawings as well as photos and distinguishing features of various aircraft for identification. This particular page gives information about the Douglas C-47 (C-53) Skytrain /Skytrooper which was used as a military transport and gilder tug during the war. Condition: good, three fold lines with some separation at folds, two corners missing, some minor overall age yellowing.
