Condition: small flake to rim
Size: 6 in high x 5 in diameter
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Manufacturer: F. R. Pratt Co.

Red stoneware jug by the F. &  R. Pratt Co. (Staffordshire). Engine turned decoration below rim and on handle; further embellished with wide gold bands with black detailing on handle. This jug is possibly an Exhibition Piece (Great Exhibition of 1851) owing to its embellishment with gold bands, which were also used on Pratt's potlids. Incised mark of FR Pratt & Co., Fenton,Staffs, and the number 9 (usually indicates size or style).
