Fine quality 19th century (Meiji period) earthenware Japanese Satsuma teacup; soft fine crackle cream colored glaze; decorated on side with hand-painted birds flying among bamboo in gold, black and light green; handle with additional scroll designs in gold and red, gold rim around top & bottom edge. Gold on black mark on bottom possibly that of Senzan. Condition: wear to gold trim, some overall darkening of crackle glaze, no chips or cracks found, no rubbing of enamels
