Circa: late 19th c. to early 20th c. Size: 8 3/4 in high, rim is 8 1/4 in diam. Country of Origin: United States
A large and very pretty Jack in the Pulpit vase. Blown in a lovely shaded Apple Green interior with white exterior, it has a large flaring and tightly crimped rim intersected with equally spaced raised circles and is sitting on a squatty bulbous foot. No maker's mark and origin is unkown; unpolished pontil scar. Most likely dates from late 19th c. to first quarter of 20th c.
Condition: no damage; there is a small manufacture flaw on inside of rim (appears to be a burst air bubble in the outer layer of glass). Usual age/use scratches on base. |
