Very nice Waterman's Ideal #52 1/2V lever fill ring top in black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with nickel-plated trim; pen has double imprints (side and barrel end). The ring at the top of the cap was designed so that the pen could be carried on a ribbon or chain. Women wore ringtops on a guard around the neck or attached to a chatelaine while, some men used them to ensure that they wouldn’t lose their pens.
Comes with original blue Waterman's box and directions for use. Approximate date: 1920 - 1930's.

Condition: good, shiny black color to barrel; few shallow dings around bottom of barrel; crisp side imprint; gold Waterman's nib;remenents of dried ink on nib |
