Outstanding Art Deco micro beaded bag dating from the mid 1920's to 1930's, in vibrant colored glass beads, laid out in a geometric design of turquoise, light blue and cream white; the lower section with stunning open-weave bib edged and looped fringe. Although unmarked, the frame is nicely detailed in an arrow design and appears to be of German Silver. Tiny cream white beads cover the stitching holes around the frame. It retains its original pale yellow silk lining, knob twist lock and original chain handle.
Condition: As good as it gets! All original; lining is in perfect condition as are the beads. With the exception of 3 missing beads (one of which is inside the bag) that cover the frame stitching, there is no other damage to the beads. |
