Victorian era plated silver ring mesh child's purse. This is truly a miniature version (only measures 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches)of the adult mesh purses of the period; it features a wide frame that is elaborately decorated(embossed) with a knob/ball twist closure and chain carry handle. Note: tiny purses like this are sometimes mistaken as coin purses, however coin purses did not have carry handles as did those made for children. Unmarked.

Condition: silverplate is in excellant condition; purse does have two areas of missing mesh in bottom corners; mesh still firmly attached to frame.
