Sometimes called a butter press, this is an nice example of the butter molds made from the mid 19th to early 20th centuries. It has nice corner dovetails with a handcarved floral design on the stamp. Good overall patina; this one would date from around 1890.
Condtion: excellent; some short age cracks to stamp; minor chipping around handle hole on top of mold. |
