This is a perfect vintage crystal melon ribbed syrup pitcher. This mold blown (not pressed pattern) syrup has a tapered ovoid body with a melon-lobed (ribbed) pattern which extends upward onto the neck and has an applied clear handle; ground pontil on base. The spring-loaded metal flip-top has a patent date of 1915.
Condition: perfect, no chips, nicks or cracks; metal top is amazingly bright and shiny; shear mark to base; usual age/use scratches on base. |
