Antique Wedgwood Cream ware, two-handled Neoclassical sauce or gravy tureen and stand. From a Cream ware dinner service, the tureen is decorated with hand-painted brown Grape and Ivy leaf border design on a pale yellow ground. The underside of the stand is stamped WEDGWOOD with a stamped decorators mark; this tureen dates to ca 1780 - 1810.
Condition: excellent, one small flake to underside of lid rim, no hairlines, no loss to decoration |
