This is a well executed hand-colored print engraved by E. Hacker after E. Corbet (1850-1876); captioned: REVENGE BY RECOVERY, A FAVORITE HORSE OF THE LATE SIR TATTON SYKES; Sir Tatton Sykes, 4th Baronet, was a prominent Yorkshire sportsman and in 1801 founded Sledmere, Britain's most successful thoroughbred farm; with good plate mark, it is double matted and framed (non-glare glass);Condition: excellent, some overall toning, no foxing, holes or rips; dates from ca. 1891-1920s; unframed.
