Clear period spooner in the Grape Band pattern (aka: Ashburton with Grape Band, Early Grape Band, Vine); designed by J. Bryce (Bryce, Walker & Co.) in 1869; with flaring ribbed foot and beaded rim.
Condition: fritting and two chips to rim, tight hairline to side, possible 2nd tight hairline or straw mark to side; related age/use scratches to base bottom and inside bottom |
