This is a child's chrome plated savings bank made by the Bankers Service Corp. and used as an advertiseing premium for the Tennessee Hermitage National Bank to encourage children to save. Both sides have slots for various denominations of coins including $5 gold pieces. One end has the script logo of the Bankers Service Corp with the patent number, dating it from ca. 1911, the top has a brass plate with the bank's name on it. Condition: some age loss to chrome plating, no key |
