Circa: ca 1950 Condition: see description Size: 9.5 ins. high Country of Origin: Japan Manufacturer: Andrea by Sadek In the Meissen style, this vintage porcelain figurial candlestick is in the form of a Putti (small boy)resting on a rockwork seat and lifting a draped flower form candle holder; the oval base with gilt C-scrolls and applied wildflowers and leaves. Base bears an underglaze blue mark similar to that of the Voigt/ Sitzendorf factory; however, this model #M-359 candlestick was made in the 50's by the Andrea Sadek company. Founded in 1936 by Norman and Charles Sadek, the company is still operated by the Sadek family in our New Rochelle, NY.
CONDITION: good condition, chips to applied flowers on base, loss of enamel at very top of candle cup
