This is an antique Victorian Wolff Hagelberg Pop-up Christmas card that is dated in pencil Dec. 25, 1890 on the back. The card features a diecut bouquet of blue flowers that when flipped becomes a bouquet of magnolia blossoms. The card is marked in LR corner W. Hagelberg, Berlin and is also marked with the WH logo on the reverse. The card is in good condition with some ageing to paper; pop-up flowers in good condition with one leaf tip folded and one leaf tip missing from Magnolia bouquet
Wolff Hagelberg (Berlin) was one of Europe’s leading Fine Art Publishers, from 1860-1890s with the majority of the verses written by E. E. Griffin or M. S. Haycraft. |
