Original WWII Philippine Series silk escape / evasion map as used by pilots and airborne personnel during the war. The map is marked No 34 Southeast China on one side and Chart C-40 Luzon Island on the other; it is marked Nov - Mar, restricted and is dated July 1944. Silk maps were preferred over paper because they were able to be folded silently and they could handle getting damp.
