Circa: 1931-1935 Condition: see description Size: 4 ins length x 2 3/8 ins high Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Kodak AG / Nagel-Werke
This hard to find vintage rigid camera was first made by Nagel-Werke, a German based company and was one of several early precision miniature cameras which used 127 roll film which gave 16 pictures. Nagel-Werke was a highly regarded German camera manufacturer who was eventually bought out by Kodak in the 1930s.
Originally priced at $75, this camera is complete with its original box, leather case with carry strap, two filters and the original external folding Leitz-Wetzlar rangefinder [rarely found with these cameras], and an added bonus of provenance in the way of its original purchaser's receipt dated Nov 10,1937; the Pupille was about the most advanced 127-format camera ever built.
Shutter: Compur T, B, 1-1/300
Lens: Jos. Schneider & Co. Kreuznach, Xenon f/2 F-4.5cm D.R.P.
Condition: Appears to be in very good condition, some scrapes to black along edges of camera's case, lens cap may not be original, yellow glass in both lens filters is no longer clear.
